Remembering the Carver Family with Grateful Hearts….

"Great indeed are your works 0 Lord for now and evermore" (Ps 92:5).The words of the psalmist have come true as we witness the great works of God in building a 'House of the Lord' for His Praise and Glory. We praise and thank God for having blessed the Carver Family to build a Place of Worship' at Togan, Sector -18, New Chandigarh, Punjab. It was a vision of the Carver's family to build a Church at Togan. The Lord blessed them and made it possible because of their deep love for the Eucharist, Priesthood and devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary. Therefore, the inaugural stone of St. Stephen's Chapel was formally blessed on December 17, 2007 by Most Rev. Dr. Gerald John Mathias, the Bishop of Simla Chandigarh. Although the vision of build asmall chapel was initiated, yet it took another milestone to build a 'Beautiful Church at the place dedicated to St. Stephen, the First Martyr the Catholic Church. Thus, on September 30, 2014the foundation stone was blessed Archbishop Salvatore Pennacchio, the Apostolic Nuncio to India and it was laid by Most Rev.Dr. Ignatius Mascarenhas, the Bishop of Simla Chandigarh on December 26, 2014, the feast of St. Stephen.

"How awesome is this shrine! This is nothing else but an abode of God, and that is the gateway to heaven!"(Gen28:17). Today, we are witnessing the marvelous works of God adding an architectural beauty for this abode of God, the gateway to heaven dedicated to Our Lady of Miracles. Let us glorify God for his mercy and love that endures forever. Adding to it, the Stations of the Cross and the Adoration Chapel that we witness in front of the Church speak their Closeness to God and our Blessed Mother Mary, the mother of miracles. We bow in humble adoration in praising and thanking Jesus our Lord and His loving Mother Blessed Virgin Mary, the Queen of all Saints. May Our Lady of Miracle intercede for us!

The Word of the Lord says, “The Lord loves a cheerful giver” (2Cor9:7). Today(April10,2024), we thank God for the Carver Family for rendering cheerfully the fruit of their hard labour in building a House of God and handing over to the Diocese with much love and devotion. The Lord loves us all and we thank Him for 'His Mighty Deeds.' We appreciate the good will of the Carver Family and their profound love for God and His people. May God bless them and their family members with His choicest blessings!
